Seldom Point (Info page)

A 5 episode miniseries about the lives and struggles of a group of teenagers in the small town of Seldom Point.

Production

Fröy spent some time creating the soccer pitch with its adjacent dressing room, before downloading community-made lots for the empty-by-default world Newcrest to try and capture an American suburban environment. He then recorded all five episodes before sending the footage to Llunkttut for editing.

Fröy initially played with the idea to make it a comedic series, specifically a parody of the typical soap opera. Eventually, he decided against it in favor of a drama.

Trivia

  • In the first episode, Miriam's soccer team is practicing for a match against Dale University, the same school that Lily goes to in Building Confidence.
  • The homes of the main characters were all placed on the same street, in order to heighten the sense of a tight-knit suburban neighborhood.
  • Seldom Point is located close to the unnamed city where the Samantha Beasley stories take place. It's that same city Hannah and Jennifer move to in the sequel.
  • Hannah has a Bullet For My Valentine poster in her bedroom.
  • The "movie" that Evan, Hannah and Diego are watching in episode 2 is an early test recording of Noblian Chronicles.
  • Both Hannah's and Miriam's mothers are named "Gloria." This was a mistake from Fröy which went unnoticed until Llunkttut pointed it out, after he believed he had mixed the two up during editing.
  • In the sequel, the news talk about Miriam's disappearance at the hands of the Coach, and mentions that she's still missing.
  • Hannah's line of not liking Seldom Point because "nothing ever happens" there is meant to symbolize the whole series and the idea behind it: Even in the most boring small towns, there are human tragedies around every corner if you just look close enough. This is also reflected in the first episode's ironic title, "Nothing Ever Happens in Seldom Point."

The Umbra Experiment is now released!

A female scientist travels to the remote Umbra Facility on Mars, believing she will take part in an experiment meant to terraform the planet. What she doesn't know is that the experiment will be of an entirely different nature - and she will be the test subject.

You can watch it here

After a lot of problems (see previous post) we've managed to upload The Umbra Experiment. However, it's a fairly low-quality version of the video and there is some pixelization and similar visual blemishes here and there. Sorry about that. At the moment it seems like the only way we could get the video up. Hopefully it's not too bad and you'll enjoy it anyway.

We'll be going on another hiatus for a while. Like we've already said, all these issues we've been experiencing have been pretty draining - that, combined with our personal lives, makes it very difficult to keep making videos at the moment.

We'll hopefully see you again at some point!

Issues upon issues (About the future)

 Hello everyone

More bad news, unfortunately. "The Umbra Experiment" is finished, but now we're both experiencing new issues that are making things difficult. Llunkttut has started having some very strange problems with rendering the project file which started happening out of nowhere. In a nutshell, he's no longer able to export the video using his normal settings. In his attempts to get around it, he's been limited to exporting the video in a format that is either an insanely huge video file or one of extremely poor visual quality.

We attempted to upload the large file but it keeps failing on Rule34Video, which probably means the file size is too big.

Llunk is trying to sort out these issues, but he is at a bit of a loss.

Meanwhile, Fröy is having problems of his own. Due to failing hardware, he lost several files recently - including all saves and mods for Sims 4. He was almost finished with the recording process of a new project when this happened, which makes it extra frustrating.

Quite frankly, all these issues we've been having have been taking the fun out of the creation process. This, combined with our hectic private lives, means we're going to take even more of a step back from making videos. We're not stopping entirely (we still have plenty of exciting projects planned) but for the foreseeable future, expect our projects to be few and far between.

Jordan Eagle Returns (Info page)

Jordan Eagle Returns is the sequel to Jordan Eagle: Intergalactic Super Stud, and takes place two weeks after the first movie. It follows Jordan and his crew as they travel to Jordan's home planet Titooine, where Jordan plans to make some money by taking part in a local sex competition.

Production

The recording of Jordan Eagle Returns started the same day as the recording for the first part was finished, before taking a minor break as Fröy built the Har-Har Dink's Square lot. It was a fairly straight forward recording process, easier than the first movie, since it mostly consisted of sex scenes in one location. In order to make the Square look more populated and have enough people to participate and watching the sex tournament, Fröy had to use a mod to expand the number of Sims allowed in a household. Setting up all these Sims to act in a fitting way was the most time-consuming part of the recording process.

Trivia

• The name of the planet Titooine is a reference to Tatooine, the home planet of Luke Skywalker from Star Wars.
• The other planets mentioned during the contest are all referencing Star Wars planets; Bustafar (Mustafar), Coruscunt (Coruscant), Dagobra (Dagobah).
• Jordan's ship's name, Aquila, is Latin for "Eagle."
• Mos Assley is a reference to Mos Eisley from the Star Wars franchise.
• Fröy imagines Crushing Coro to have Patrick Warburton's voice.
• Jordan's line "What a strange person" when he first meets Coro is a reference to the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
• The droid 53X 80T's name is leet speak for "Sex Bot."
• At one point the contest announcer Zoy Boi references Dick Game, another series by Cumagical Studios.
• "Har-Har Dink's Square", where the Screwing the Planet competition takes place, is a nod to the character Jar-Jar Binks from the Star Wars franchise.
• 53X 80T was originally meant to have golden, metallic skin in order to more closely resemble C-3PO from Star Wars, upon which she was based. However, Fröy couldn't find the CC necessary to get the desired look, which resulted in her final design.
• In a deleted scene, while escorting Jordan and Amber to the hotel, Zoy Boi tries to persuade Jordan to finish the competition early in order for Crushing Coro to win.

Small update

 Hi everyone.

It's been a bit quiet lately, and unfortunately it looks like that will continue for a while. Like we've said previously, our private lives are more than a bit hectic these days, and at the moment it looks unlikely anything else will be released by us for the rest of this year.

We will hopefully get back to more regular releases eventually.

In the meantime, why not rewatch some old favorites? ;)

Hopefully we'll see you soon!

Our Loved Ones is now released!

When a gang of burglars have their way with a woman, her son has an unusual reaction to her plight.

After way too long, Our Loved Ones is finally released! You can watch this unsettling thriller here.

Like previously mentioned, the production of another project was well underway when all the progress was lost. Llunkttut decided to prioritize getting this one finished, and hasn't yet started with the second project. Considering he's still really busy it will likely take a while before it's done, so don't expect it to be released soon. It's a shame, but not much to be done about it. Life can be hectic.

We'll see you when we see you!

Update

You may have noticed our new project is taking a while. There's a good (and sad) reason for that.

Llunkttut has been working hard editing two projects at the same time, one of which being Our Loved Ones teased in the previous post. That project was almost done, and a second one was about half-way done, when a small disaster struck.

When Llunkttut updated his editing software, something went wrong and the projects were reset to a much earlier stage.

He had to resume work on Our Loved Ones at about the half-way point, and the second project from scratch.

Obviously, this was an incredibly frustrating experience for both of us, and we tried everything to restore the projects but with no luck.

Because of this, Our Loved Ones will be taking longer than anticipated, and the following project even longer than that.

We're sorry about the inconvenience.
