Noblian Chronicles (Info page)

Noblian Chronicles is a fantasy series made by Cumagical Studios, and is their largest project to date. It consists of three seasons, all with ten episodes, with a total runtime of 6 hours and 25 minutes.

It follows several different characters, and shows their erotic adventures, their shifting relationships, and the political machinations of the world.

A more in-depth look at how the series came about and its production can be found here

 Trivia

  • The name 'Noblia' is an anagram of 'Albion', the historical name of Great Britain.
  • The sources of inspiration for the series, as listed in the credits of the final episode, are 'Fire and Ice', 'Dragon Age', 'Game of Thrones', 'Queen's Blade', and 'The Adventures of Merlin.'
  • It spawned a spinoff series called Noblian Tales. This series was an anthology, and was made in order to show more of the world of Noblia and beyond.
  • In the first episode, Hope was meant to swim around in the pond during the opening scene. However, in the game's lots, Sims can only swim in pools. In the script, a pair of hands (Torwald's) reaches down and violently drags her up from the water.
  • The village of Farover, where Diana is first introduced, was built by Fröy almost two years before the recording of the series started. When the time for recording came, additional details were added to the village.
  • During Hope's mindbreak scene in the seventh episode of the first season, she sees an hallucination of her parents. During the scene, their names in the subtitles change. Harold's name changes to 'Daddy', and Aurora's to 'Mommy' and 'Whore Queen.'
  • The Jade Dynasty and its empire on the Continent has numerous real-life inspirations. Culturally, it is a mixture of several Asian nations - mainly China and Japan - with several Arabic, Persian, Turkic and African influences. Fröy's initial idea for them was "China fused with the Ottoman Empire".
  • A scene showing Torwald taking over as the leader of the bandit gang after Mace's death was cut to shorten runtime.
  • In season 2, episode 4, Hope introduces herself as 'Ayleth' to the farmer who rescued her in order to stay incognito. The name was chosen since it was the name of her grandmother, King Harold's mother.
  • Even though the map of Noblia wasn't shown directly in the series, it does show up faintly in the background during the intro.

  • In one of the 'Noblian Lore' images, Queen Shira is described as the ruler of the Jade Dynasty. This was an error. While she does rule the forces that is invading Noblia, and proceeds to rule over Noblia as a province of Jade, the Empire itself is ruled by her father, the Emperor.
  • A lesbian sex scene featuring Diana and Dínlen was cut from episode 7 of season 3 in order to shorten runtime.
  • Though they are all simply called "Bandit" in the subtitles, the less prominent members of Mace's bandit gang all had joke names in-game. Some of these included 'Gary, Clone of Gary' (a reference to Vault 108 in the game Fallout 3), 'White Guy With Beard #48', 'Gollum's Ugly Cousin' and 'Just Happy To Be Here.'
  • Several Elven names are referencing The Lord of the Rings novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. These include the settlements Loriem (Lórien) and Velinor (Valinor), as well as the name of the Elven elder Valarina (referencing the language Valarin).
  • General Ishu is described by Fröy as the most evil character in the entire series, even worse than Mace and Shira. In the script, he would viciously torture Rose before executing her, but this was deemed to difficult to do with the limitations of The Sims 4 - not to mention too violent.
  • Fröy considered using footage from Total War: MEDIEVAL II for the Battle of Noblia City, but eventually decided against it since the environments would look too different from the ones presented in the series. He decided to have the battle be implied rather than shown. However, one quick shot from the game was used: the marching of Jade Dynasty soldiers toward Coasthome in season 3, episode 8.
  • Originally, Queen Shira was supposed to have a sister, Jaeshara. Jaeshara is the one who was supposed to follow Rose when she left Noblia City to warn Hope about the Dynasty's incoming attack. She was also the one who was meant to slay Diana in the throne room in the final episode. However, the character was scrapped - almost last minute - because Fröy considered it to be too late to introduce a brand new character so close to the end of the series. She was therefore replaced with Ishu and Kieran respectively. Jaeshara would have been shown as a sadistic dominatrix type.
